Tom's expertise in Securities, Capital Structure Planning, Intellectual Property as well as Emerging Business and Technology make him ideally suited to provide the legal planning for HC Assets' growth strategy.

As Outside General Counsel, he is a partner of Davis, Wright and Tremaine LLP (founded 1908 full service ranked in top 20 national firms per Avery Index) Based in San Francisco, he has worked in a wide range of industries including software/technology companies, Internet/eCommerce, venture capital, and energy, to name a few. His specialty is in assisting companies with innovative breakthroughs successfully meet the legal and strategic challenges of going to market.

Tom's prior experience has been with Pillsbury Madison & Sutro; Thelen Reid & Priest LLP and Founding Co-Partner of the high-technology boutique Britton Silberman & Cervantez (later acquired by Thelen Reid.) He has also Co-Founded several successful companies including Geonet Communications and Globalnet Ventures.

Active in the investment community, he is founder of the Golden Gate Angels, and Co-Chair of the venture finance SIG of software Development Forum.

Formal education includes a JD and MBA from Harvard University as well as a BA , magna cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University.
